Compression ratio is good. Depends on your data. My average is 1.5x to 1.7x. Database is 2x or more, and a flar image i have was 10x! Must be padded zero's on those files. NTFS compression i guess is okay or average, but have not compared or benchmark it against ZFS. It's hard to compare when for one thing, ZFS is like a File system+RAID+Volume Manager+kitchen sink against NTFS which is only a File System. And, by the very nature of ZFS, it auto tunes itself for different workloads. -- regards, Andre | http://www.varon.ca _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List http://lists.linux.org.ph/mailman/listinfo/plug Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
