I have no experience with the EdiMax BR-6623. But we use two RV042's to connect two offices, mostly for the VPN feature, for around two years now. I have very little complaints with them. I haven't tested the Dual WAN feature, yet, as I'm waiting for our 2nd DSL to be installed.
