True. So much for my claim/rant against blogging before that it pollutes google. Well in some cases it still does, but the amount of good information coming from tech blogs really make up for it. Sorry for my late reaction to this topic (i was off-country), but I have posted this once before.. there's been a decline in the participation of oldbies, for a variety of reasons posted before. Which makes us come to conclusions ranging from 'Little need for PLUG support, you can google your problem to death' to '... the mission of PLUG has been accomplished, time to look for a new one' Indeed. That was my point several months ago, when we attempted to reboot the org with an EB which discussed several activities - That amidst the reality that very few people really have enough time left to donate to PLUG, or maybe no one can find a compelling reason to find the time. A new mission? We aren't faced with impossible odds like 10 or so years ago anymore. What's the new frontier? There were people who raised exceptions to my post several months ago - saying that there were still reasons for PLUG to exist, yet when we called a meeting they weren't in attendance. I'd like to AGAIN make a call to those who think that 'there's still work to be done'. Let's discuss this online, and later drum up participation in another major meet. And if there is no 'new frontier' let's just accept that PLUG is and always will be a mailing list which did it's best to provide local support to this once-the-new-kid-on-the-block open source operating system and leave it at that.
