If that's true then FRAPS is a good choice. It's normally used to
record in-game video but it can be used to record anything...

The free version can only record 30 seconds. You'd need to get the
for-pay version but it's still cheap ($37). Test the free version
first if it meets your needs, as FRAPS records DirectX and OpenGL
graphics only: if your ActiveX program does not use DirectX or OpenGL,
FRAPS will not see anything.

Another option is to write your own code, if you're handy with MS
VC++. There's a free-as-in-beer Visual C++ Express Edition on MSDN.
You will also need the Windows Server 2003 R2 SDK to compile or build
C code.
