As far as the SOSE (School of Science & Engineering) of Ateneo de Manila
University is concerned, the Dean (Dr. Fabian Dayrit) has announced support for
Linux / OpenOffice for official use of the science and engineering departments
and labs. He was even proposing that savings generated by using OpenOffice be
reverted to the department's budget.

I do not know the stand of AdDU (Ateneo de Davao) regarding open source.
