Using K600i. I'm also experiencing slow and unstable connection with
Globe sometimes. Most of the times, after several minutes of 3G
connection, it drops back to GPRS. Same with Smart. And BTW, I just
checked yesterday, it seems that "full internet access" is now
available for prepaid subscribers. Unlike before you can only use port
80. They still block outgoing port 25 except for their SMTP servers,
so better use SMTP w/ SSL on port 465 if it is available on your email
provider. Maybe Globe finally enabled full internet access for their
prepaid APN in preparation for the iPhone launch.

Regarding the configuration of the mode, there were several posts on
the list months ago. You might want to search it using
