Hi, I'm looking for an unlocked (unlike iPhone) Linux gadget. Netbooks like the EeePC might attract to much attention or be too bulky when I take mass transpo like the MRT.
My requirements: (1) ability to install common distros like Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora without hardware hacking like replacing ROM; (2) available LOCALLY via official channels (not eBay etc); (3) with built-in qwerty keyboard for heavy-duty thumb-typing and USB port for attaching external keyboard, (4) Less than P20,000. Cellphone, Wifi, Bluetooth capabilities are a bonus but not necessary. Is there such a thing? For example, Nokia N810 and OpenMoko look nice but are (2) not available locally, while OpenMoko has no (3) keyboard.
