Johann, Google Groups (groups.google.com) may help you with this. However, from a security standpoint, your security policy may not allow sensitive data stored on a third party without any contracts involved (yes, you can purchase Google Apps). There are open source solutions such as PHPBB. You can search freshmeat.net for more applications.
