Yeah in window system it more vulnerable... spyware, viruses... malware etc. Even thos linux desktop they provided for public schools...Most of them complains because they just drop those system there without proper training and administration.
Linux offers more system administration tools and tweaks than any other system IMHO. So I think is more connfigurable when it comes to security.
