*As an alternative, why not send your test messages to your test mail server?* Hmm..., never really thought about that. :) Though to be honest, I'm not really much of a sysad guy (I'm just someone who toys with PHP code) and the thought of installing another service and tweaking it is a bit dreadful for me. :)
