based on the information you given below especially the tcpdump
output... we have some clue what went wrong....

you pxe is working properly where dhcp and tftp stages took place...
after retreiving the kernel thru tftp, put in memory and runs it... it
executes and process the nfs connectivity...

the problem what i see here is that your diskless kernel didnt
properly configure your network adapter... the clue can be found when
your master server (master.talon) is arping or asking "who has
node01.talon tell master.talon" and node01.talon is not responding to
an arp request... this is a strong indication that your diskless
kernel didnt properly configure your network adapter...  thus a
timeout occured when node01.talon is trying to rpcbind your nfs server
(master.talon)...
