What USB device are you booting from? 1. If booting from a USB thumbdrive / stickdrive, you can prepare the USB boot thumbdrive using unetbootin:
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ Then during boot time, you need to interrupt the boot process to indicate that you are booting from a USB thumbdrive. 2. If booting from a USB CD/DVD, then your CMOS/BIOS program must be recent enough to allow booting from that device. We will be able to help you better if you give more details of your problem.
