What USB device are you booting from?

1. If booting from a USB thumbdrive / stickdrive, you can prepare
the USB boot thumbdrive using unetbootin:

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Then during boot time, you need to interrupt the boot process
to indicate that you are booting from a USB thumbdrive.

2. If booting from a USB CD/DVD, then your CMOS/BIOS program
must be recent enough to allow booting from that device.

We will be able to help you better if you give more details of your
problem.
