it's not happening anymore.  i wasn't seeing it using "links" browser.
 also looks like some javascript in mozilla hides the images in
tools->page_info->media as they appear then disappear quickly, but not
too fast enough not to be seen.

doesn't seem to be intentional because:
1) the ip is in israel (whois 62.0.5.136)
2) caching is supposed to make things faster.  this is slowing down everything
3) also reported with verizon broadband

anyway it is currently stopped so either the hacker is subscribed here
or globe/innove fixed it or (unlikely) my ubuntu desktop just needed
an unwanted reboot.
