OT:

there is a hack floating around that lets you upgrade from 10.5.6 to  
10.5.7 even if you are using voodoo kernel. the guy used pacifist to  
install kext because he wanted to preserve his voodoo kernel. i'm sure  
someone will devise an easier way to upgrade, without breaking stuff.

oh, and you can also install and boot os x off a 16GB usb flash drive.  
useable. just don't expect performance off that.
