Hi Doc Mana,

This is to confirm my attendance for tomorrow's meeting.

Also some comments:

a. is there some documents that describe the information flow from the devices
to final tally of Comelec?

b. are we limited only on the auditing the source code of the devices. How
about the other
systems in the flow (e.g. is Comelec's network secure?). Can these systems be
audited as well? If we cannot audit, can at least Comelec provide a report on
who did the audit and what audit/checks were done.

c. What will be the process of compiling the source code into binaries? and how
will these binaries be distributed into the machines?

d. Will checks (full or random) be allowed to verify that the binaries are
correct or that the information received by Comelec is the same as that stored
in the machines? Who, when and how will this be done?

Pardon me if these questions have been answered in previous posts...but there
is not enough time to read them.

Lastly, and this is probably outside of the scope of PLUG, we need a way to
validate the results of the elections outside of the devices. A good example is
the use of statistics on
how Iran's election was analyzed
(http://www-personal.umich.edu/~wmebane/note18jun2009.pdf).   I already forgot
my "Stat-101" but for those who can understand the report, I urge you to do the
same for 2010 elections

Ambrosio

Comelec wants to set "guidelines" for doing source code review.  Here are my
comments on this issue:
