I haven't had any handson experience with the C700, but I had an Acer
laptop once that came with Atheros chipset. It worked just fine with
Ubuntu 8.04 back then. For your case, however, you might want to look at
this article from Quilombo Digital ( http://tiny.cc/elwwd ). Tell us if
this works for you.
