I believe sash will be the best to serve your particular purpose. I
think you know this already but in the remote case you haven't,
"apt-get install sash" on Ubuntu is much more convenient than doing a
"make install" of the sash-3.7.tar.gz from
http://members.tip.net.au/~dbell/ .
