There's a recent benchmark in phoronix on linux filesystems (ext4 vs btrfs vs zfs (native) vs zfs (fuse) vs xfs). In a lot of the tests, xfs came out ahead. The one downside to xfs is deleting a large file is so slow -- this shouldn't matter much if you don't move large files (videos, large photos/graphics, etc.) regularly.
