I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS AMD64, and haven't had any trouble accessing XFS and NTFS volumes. None of them are >2TB, though. I reckon that would be a good starting point for your investigation (ie, the partition size rather than the file systems themselves). I hope this helps, and good luck!
