If you expand the search graph to all the way through 2010, it seems 
more like Tor got a spike in popularity mid 2010 as a "fad" which died 
off April 2012. The core userbase after 2012 drops back to be the same 
it was in 2010.

I can't explain the last drop but there appear to be bigger drops 
before. My guess is the spikes coincide with SMART / Globe / phone 
promos and the drops are when the overall quality of the same drop?
