I tried clear a couple months ago. Dropped it for the following reasons: - signal becomes very unstable on windy days - can't change password on the Motorola WiMAX router - SSH/SSL+IMAP sessions hung on a regular basis - SMTP server (via gmail) rewrites From: field on ALL msgs - didn't like being locked into a 2 year contract
That said, I think for casual use where you're not needing to run servers or session-based apps it's fine. Anything that runs in a browser seems not to be affected much by the signal stability issue. Helpful hint: if you decide to opt-out during the 7-day trial, do it _at_ one of the Clear stores; they'll expedite your request through the phone queue - probably so you don't make a scene!
