A month or so ago, someone suggested the DGS2208 D-Link "green"
ethernet switch. I had a 5 port Linksys go flaky on me, so I
bought the little brother, the DGS2205, at Fry's today for $30.
Indeed, it draws only 2W compared to the 4W that the Linksys
draws, and it is a gigabit switch.

I will probably buy two of the DGS2208's mail order - Newegg
is selling them for $44.99, and D-Link is offering a $10 rebate
for each of 2 or less. I suppose I should have bought the
DGS2205 from them, too, because Newegg is covered by the rebate,
and Fry's isn't.
