Freshly built CentOS 5.2/x86_64 machine with 6 drives, with md1, md2, and
md3 supposedly each one big 6-way mirror (Wasteful, but keeps the disk
slices consistent) and one RAID6.

But check this out:

Personalities : [raid1] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4]
md2 : active raid1 sdf2[5] sde2[4] sdd2[3] sdc2[2] sdb2[1] sda2[0]
       20972736 blocks [7/6] [UUUUUU_]

md3 : active raid1 sdg3[6] sdf3[5] sde3[4] sdd3[3] sdc3[2] sdb3[1] sda3[0]
       8385856 blocks [7/7] [UUUUUUU]

md4 : active raid6 sdg4[6](S) sdf4[5] sde4[4] sdd4[3] sdc4[2] sdb4[1] sda4[0]
       3704973312 blocks level 6, 256k chunk, algorithm 2 [6/6] [UUUUUU]

md1 : active raid1 sdf1[5] sde1[4] sdd1[3] sdc1[2] sdb1[1] sda1[0]
       20972736 blocks [7/6] [UUUUUU_]

unused devices: <none>

Interesting that the machine thinks it has 7 drives.
Any ideas what could have gone haywire?
