Gee, I was just about to update Gutted Gutsy to Handy Hardy[1]. LTS is good
there for another two or four years, desktop and server.

You mean to say the obvious benefits of KDE aren't winning you over yet? :)
[1] I was distracted by other things and missed the EOL, last Saturday, for
Gutsy. Not only did they cease providing new patches, the repositories are
offline preventing me from installing stuff that was current 10 days ago.
