Maybe it is a matter of choosing 'media source' for the tray with the large-format paper? Or that the large format paper is picked under paper size (it seems odd that it would need to be 'custom'). Or landscape/portrait is picked correctly?
I'm using a networked c5180 and find that switching from GIMP for 4x6 to OO for 8x11 or such sometimes requires double checking the printer settings on my machine.
