You don't have to "jailbreak" webOS to install applications outside of
the App Catalog. The SDK includes a command-line utility for
installing applications. You do need to put the Palm Pre in developer
mode with an unlock code. One of the homebrew applications you can
install is one that will install other homebrew applications over the
network. The SDK is free but not open source.
