These are the commands I ran:

nvram set sdram_init=0x0A
nvram set sdram_ncdl=0
nvram commit
reboot

A person than myself told me the router falls over suring boot becaause 
I told it a lie on how much memory it has. My original post (doh, it's a 
G, not a GL, sorry. It's been shelved for a few months):
