Remember back when "Web Services" was the catch phrase? Or "Service Oriented Architecture"? "Agile" is still hanging on. These and other terms are the lifeline that technically deficient managers cling to in an attempt to feel like they are keeping the operations of their departments in sight (or at least on a spreadsheet-agenda). They should be less worried about how the programmers are doing, and pay more attention to their own methodologies. I should just get a subscription to Oracle Magazine because that's what IT managers use as their self-improvement study manual.
