2.8.0 is ancient and unsupported. 2.10.1.1 is the current stable. DG is 
setup by default to be content secure in a K-12 environment, so it's 
pretty tight. To unblock downloads, open bannedextensionlist and comment 
the lines you want allowed. For 2.8, I think it is in 
/etc/dansguardian/lists.

DG doesn't warn. It blocks. You can set it up with a bypass password 
though. Not sure what the point would be for normal users.
