The two recipes I added yesterday were these: :0: * ^TO_ [email protected] GIS :0: * ^Subject: .*[GRASS-user] GIS ... and every incoming message since then ended up in ~/mail/GIS, where I found them a few minutes ago. I think the reason they ended up here was a line in ~/.pinerc that was directing all messages from Incoming-Mail to ~/mail/GRASS rather than ~/mail/GIS. Why I ever had two files for this I don't know. But, I changed ~/.pinerc to reflect the procmail recipes, and have (for today, anyway) commented out those recipes just to verify they are the cause of the problem. Amazing how I can dig a hole and fall in without being aware of the potential trap. Thanks, Drew and Michael, for your responses.
