I got a Coolscan III (SCSI) off eBay about ten years ago and loved it. The dust removal stuff worked like magic. That was all using the proprietary Nikon software on Windows though; looks like SANE doesn't support that though: http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-coolscan.5.html Bummer, dude.
