Microsoft had the biggest booth at Supercomputers09, 50x90 feet. The
huge exhibit floor (about 260,000 square feet ) was crowded, but not
around the M$ booth. One reason was that they had some of their
boothbabes dressed like cops or Marine officers or some uniform like
that. Maybe they were enforcers for the Business Software Alliance.
I don't know, I saw the uniforms and gave the hellhole a wide berth.

Meanwhile, the crowds were 20 feet deep around the 30x40 Nvidia booth.
As you may know, the ultra-powerful GPU on most Nvidia graphics cards
can be reconfigured as a scientific array processor, and the CUDA
programming language is free-though-not-open, with lots of freeware
packages available, so there is a lot of interest in their hardware
and software.

Nvidia has a programming group in the area. Perhaps I can talk one
of them into giving an Advanced Topics talk. I will leave someone
else the pleasure of inviting M$ to give a Retarded Topics talk.
