Right you are. There are three screen sizes of Thinkpad T61, in
various resolutions. Here are the sizes and areas in inch units:
X Y Area
Standard 14.1 in 4:3 11.3 8.5 95.4
Wide/Runt 14.1 in 8:5 12.0 7.5 89.4
Wide/Runt 15.4 in 8:5 13.1 8.2 106.6
The T60 has these three sizes:
X Y Area
Standard 14.1 in 4:3 11.3 8.5 95.4
Standard 15.0 in 4:3 12.0 9.0 108.0
Wide/Runt 15.4 in 8:5 13.1 8.2 106.6
The basic unit arrived with today, with a 15.0 inch 1400x1050
screen. I am still waiting for the QXGA replacement screen,
15.0 inch 2048x1536. The T61 does not have a bezel that works
with the QXGA, though it appears possible to substitute a T60
bezel and screen on top of a T61 main chassis.
My next step is to install my distro on a new 500GB Seagate on the
T60 (with the lower resolution display) and see if it works.
