You're missing the first two lines, and it looks like line three got
truncated:

#!/usr/bin/perl

$CONFDIR = "/etc/dirvish";

#       $Id: dirvish.pl,v 12.0 2004/02/25 02:42:15 jw Exp $  \
$Name: Dirvish-1_2 $

(I don't know why there's such a gap between lines two and three. I
split line three with the backslash, since autowrap makes long lines
like this turn into gibberish.)

A.  A nervous wreck.
