Yes, it's time for the famous Linux Clinic again! Bring your computer with that other evil OS and we'll install Linux on it for you. Or bring your Linux computer and we'll fix problems. Or just come and look over shoulders to see what Linux is all about.
We also have the latest versions of all the popular distros. Bring CDs and we'll burn whatever you want. There will also be free coffee, cookies and other stuff that people bring. And even if your tummy is too full for such things, come and share the Linux gemütlichkeit. There is room for complete newbies as well as old hands. All are welcome. Aside: I just discovered that the next version of Ubuntu (Lucid Lynx, 10.04) will come with a complete user manual in PDF format. Lucid Lynx will be released on April 29. I will have the most recent release candidate at the Clinic in case anyone wants to take it for a spin. Lucid Lynx will be a LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu. It will be supported on servers for five years and on desktops for three years. The Clinic is completely free. The Clinic is held at Free Geek, 1731 SE 10th Avenue in Portland, just a couple blocks south of the Lucky Labrador on Hawthorne. The Clinic runs from 1 pm to 5 pm. See y'all there! _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
