I put the micro version of DD-WRT on some v6 and v7 versions of Linksys WRT's and they "work", but there is nothing on them but the web interface and very basic functionality. There is a shell you can connect to, but no commands of note to run. OpenWrt basically made the decision that, yeah as a party trick you could get a Linux kernel on the smaller 2M flash versions, but the userspace was then so constrained that it wasn't worth the contortions given what you ended up with. So, officially, OpenWrt doesn't support devices with less than 4M of flash. m0gely> At this point however it's probably time to start looking at N m0gely> capable hardware. My limited experience with 11n has not been favorable. a) it's a bit of a spectrum pig in an already limited spectrum; and b) the host-mode support is not stellar yet (afaik). 802.11g is still faster than most people's internet connections, which is often what you are connecting to anyway. -- Russell Senior, President [email protected] _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
