I concur.  Look at what is actually using memory on your system, try
to figure out why it needs so much memory, and then try to predict
what will happen if your web traffic or other services get 10x the
load.  Will your web/app server spawn a bunch more processes and cause
you to swap out heavily?

As aluded to by others, nowadays swap is almost useless, unless you're
interested in doing hibernation.  The gap between memory and hard
drive speed is so large that swapping on a server is almost like
running out of memory.  You never want to do it when it counts.
