As per usual, I'm probably the last one to know about this organization. But one thing I want to more of this year is to get involved more w. orgs like SPI [http://www.spi-inc.org/]. Who are supporting the doing of good work...
SPI is a non-profit organization which was founded to help organizations develop and distribute open hardware and software. We encourage programmers to use the GNU General Public License or other licenses that allow free redistribution and use of software, and hardware developers to distribute documentation that will allow device drivers to be written for their product. The projects which SPI has chosen to support are all consistent with our set of goals.
