The next LTS release will be 10.04, due out toward the end of this April. If you install 8.04 you can do a dist-upgrade when 10.04 comes out. The latest and greatest is Karmic, 9.10. If you want the latest I have it on a USB drive and will be happy to burn you a CD. Of course, you can download it yourself, but if you are dependent on library computers at the moment, that may not be an option. Let me know if I can assist. Also, is your 8.04 disk 64-bit? If you are getting a new computer, surely you will want 64-bit Linux. Again, I can help if you need a different CD. I have to leave about 9:30 tomorrow morning, and won't be back until after 5:30. But if I know before I leave that you need a CD I can leave it on my front porch or something for you. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
