Just now I tried live CDs of: Fedora 13 x86_64 Live (wouldn't boot - bah!) Jaunty x86_64 Desktop which has Xsane 0.996. Same results. Hardy Xubuntu x86_64, installed Xsane 0.995 from repo. Same results. I know it used to scan fine in various versions of Ubuntu, Jaunty being the last I used before going to Fedora 11. Since it now exhibits the same half-page problem with the same software I used to use, I am pretty sure the scanner has gone tits up. Or maybe it's repairable. For the present job I'll take the form to a commercial place this morning so the person I need to send it to can get her class assignment finished. Then I have to go build a house. Later I'll deal with what's wrong with the scanner. Thanks to all for the suggestions. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
