In June 2009, I was looking for laptops. I found what I needed during the fall of 2009, but somehow that message resurfaced on the list.
BTW, I bought 2 thinkpad T60s, and replaced the screens with 2048x1536 LCDs. Main issue so far is poorly designed apps and web pages that force a tiny font size. Most recent example is the OSCON program grid.
