This is so simple I'm embarrassed to ask for help. But, ask I must. In /var/www/htdocs/ I have phpinfo.php (perms 777); the file content is: <?php phpinfo(); ?>
When I try opening the file (ctrl-o) I see a blank page with "Done" on the firefox status line. When I enter the URL of http://localhost/phpinfo.php I see the file's content.
