Hello all,

I am sorry to be silent on Advanced Topics. Here's where I'm at:

I have applied to use the Free Geek meeting space with with the idea
that Linux Fund could provide beverages (including the correct one) and
pizza and ask for reimbursement through a tip jar. I realize that
order-anything-you-want is a long-cherished PLUG AT tradition from Zot's
first meeting on hacking the Fedora installer to use tape... but that
has the inherent problem that any place that welcomes groups like us for
meetings tend to go bankrupt. BYOB and P with a nonprofit's space should
be more reliable and will have very predictable costs.

One catch: Only the third Tuesday is available. I know this is a
conflict for at least one regular.

Thoughts?

I am waiting on one potential speaker but am very open to a plan B. Does
anyone have a talk they would like to give? I am trying very hard to
have a OGD1 board to demonstrate the programming of and that may be
suitable. I guarantee the audience would know more than me but it would
be hands-on.

Thank you very much to those who have pinged me about this!

Michael
