I know the apache Web site has a gazillion pages of information. While
I've been using httpd for quite a few years, it has been with only
superficial understanding.

For example, this morning I tried logging in to my business accounting
application, Ledger123, and saw an Atlanta error:

Not Found

The requested URL /sql-ledger/login.pl was not found on this server.

despite localhost/sql-leger/login.pl being the address I've used for years.
I am without clue where to look for the source of this error so I can fix
it.

   /etc/httpd/httpd.conf and /etc/httpd/sql-ledger-httpd.conf have not
changed since I last accessed it.

What's a good introduction that will allow me a better understanding of
what's going on behind the browser? I've a couple of other web apps (and I
can access them locally) and knowing more about the whole process will make
me a more comfortable admin. The appache.org http project documentation page
for version 2.2 has a bunch of links. Where should I start?

TIA,

Rich
