Yes.  If they are statically linked they should just work.  If they
dynamically load libraries you will need to install the appropriate i386
packages to support them.

(I don't know about libc5 package availability though)

Probably not more than $20 or so worth of difference, I predict, for most
users.  It doesn't make much practical difference because memory performance
is usually not the root cause of desktop performance issues these days.

It does natively, and the upstream kernel ships with 32-bit compatibility, so
it should "just work" for you.  'yum install libfoo.i386' will do the IA-32
version of a package, if it is available.

I used to use RPMForge, but I can't speak for them in the last few years.
