Anyone run into issues with SAMBA 3.0.33 (CentOS 5.5) and WinXP SP3 running DOS based programs?
It is a long and tortuous tale to reach this point of woe so first I'll just give the symptoms. When running tcpdump on the Linux box I see a bunch of "Unknown packet type" messages when a couple of DOS based programs try to start. The programs, executables and data, reside on the server. But other operations; connect to the server, access the drives, print, etc.; don't have errors. Just the DOS programs. The SAMBA configuration file is mostly unchanged from 7 or so years ago. A pretty simple set up: public folder/directory and print sharing via CUPS. Any ideas, suggestions, clue-stick?
