I need to upgrade a Silicon Images 3114 SATA RAID controller so I can
boot from it. (Configured as JBOD, no RAID)
    Problem is the system doesn't have a floppy drive and Silicon Images
only provides a DOS and Windows method to upgrade the controller BIOS.
I think I have a floppy drive rat-holed somewhere but give me a break;
it's 2010.

I tried Hiren's BootCD (found a reference to using it because the poster
had the same problem I do -- Linux can't/won't boot from an attached
drive) but that didn't work. Went away for very long time just trying
to test the hardware. I got ticked off and canceled it.
    Getting to the DOS option was a joke.

Any suggestions or other "Rescue CD" that would run either a DOS or
Windows flasher?

TIA,
Rod
