This is turning into a rather unpleasant experience. My new Dell Latitude
E5410 apparently has the video built into the CPU or another of the Intel
chips in the entire set. It will not boot the 2.6.33.4 or 2.6.35.7 kernels
without appending "nomodeset". Well, they boot, but the screen blanks and
nothing can be seen on it. The gotcha' is that with no mode set X cannot
start. Checkmate.

I understand that Intel has kernel patches (or patched kernels) that fix
this problem. Does anyone know how I can get this quickly fixed so I can
take this computer on a business trip this coming week?

Thanks,

Rich
