I think I didn't make something clear.

Unless Michael has been approved for a key and will be there tonight,
there will be no one there with a key. And it's not just a key; the
keyholder must also be given a code and instructed on how to use it to
arm the burglar alarm when the group leaves.

The meeting starts at 7:00 and Fee Geek is open until 7:00, so the
building will be open at the start of the meeting. But all the Free
Geek people go home shortly thereafter, so without a PLUG member who is
a keyholder it will not be possible to lock the place up at the end of
the meeting.
