I'm still trying to figure out how to get my laptop screen to appear on a projector. I've been googling and reading the man page for xrandr, but I don't understand much of it. My laptop screen runs at 1680 x 1050 with the nouveau driver, and I think the max that most projectors do is 1280 x 1050.
If someone has used xrandr to get a laptop screen to display on a projector at the same time, it would help if you would share the command(s) you use. Oh, and I have xrandr 1.3 on Fedora 13. The following is the output of xrandr -q (or xrandr --current): Screen 0: minimum 800 x 600, current 1680 x 1050, maximum 1680 x 1050 default connected 1680x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1680x1050 0.0* 1280x1024 61.0 1280x800 0.0 1024x768 61.0 800x600 61.0 I'm going to Portland State tomorrow to see if I can find a classroom with a projector that is open and not in use. Or maybe I can use the multimedia test room in the library. Hopefully I can take some time to experiment until I get it right. Thanks in advance for suggestions and advice. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
